New Wine 2022 Retreat: Talk Story – The Art of Dialogue

New Wine’s upcoming retreat on the Oregon coast will feature “talk story.” What is “talk story”? In Hawaiian culture, “talk story” is foundational to building friendships and deepening relationships. When we talk story, we cultivate a safe and sacred place of building trust and allowing the deeper things in our lives to slowly surface through vulnerability and transparency. Joy, laughter, lament, and even tears are important and life-giving parts of “talking story.” Healing and renewal occur.
