Bridges need building, restoring. We have been hearing a lot about the need to repair bridges in society today. The same is true for relationships, especially in a fractured society. At New Wine, New Wineskins, we have been seeking to build and repair relational bridges for 25 years! But our work has only just begun! Why? Because building and restoring relational bridges has to occur at various intervals in church and society. Continual repentance and bridge building/restoration work is essential. It requires bearing the weight of people’s glory, a point CS Lewis makes, rather than discounting and discarding diverse people created in God’s image.
