Make Trinitarian Theology Great Again! Dr. Paul Louis Metzger and Derrick Peterson's Brief Notes On A Recent Trinitarian Controversy

Intro by Derrick Peterson

One of the unexpected turns in 20th century theology was undoubtedly the resurgence of the Trinity as the central mystery of the Christian faith.  Though evangelicals were a bit late to the Trinitarian party, one of the peculiar aspects is that it was nearly immediately used for pre-existing debates and concerns regarding complementarian or egalitarian models of gender relations.

We can't settle the debate (and only get ever so slightly into the details) but Dr. Paul Louis Metzger and myself had a brief ten minute discussion on what St. Augustine and the Cappadocian Fathers might think of all of this.
