Blue-Eyed Moderator – Pastor Emmett Wheatfall

Emmett Wheatfall is the pastor of Remember the Hope Christian Fellowship located in Portland, Oregon. Established in June 2001, this multi-ethnic Christian fellowship is working to fulfill its mission to "remind the world of the hope that is found in Jesus Christ." With a vision that says, "people from all walks of life come to Remember the Hope Christian Fellowship to find, accept, and enjoy the hope found in Jesus Christ", the fellowship sees itself as making a valuable contribution to the call for racial/ethnic reconciliation within the body of Christ.

Pastor Wheatfall has served in a number of ministry capacities over the last 25 years, including interim, associate, and senior pastor positions. He is an excellent Bible teacher who demonstrates a wonderful ability to make biblical principles understandable and applicable.

In addition, Pastor Wheatfall currently serves Portland General Electric in the capacity of Corporate Ethics and Compliance Specialist. In the early to mid 90's, he served as PGE's Corporate Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist. This position gave him functional responsibility for carrying out corporate mandates in the areas of diversity and equal employment opportunity. Pastor Wheatfall also was the moderator for the 2002 PGE Diversity Summit at the Oregon Convention Center where Jane Elliott was a featured speaker. With Pastor Wheatfall’s wealth of professional and pastoral experience, he brings great insight and wisdom to the discussion of racial issues.

Pastor Wheatfall and his wife Karen have three children, Felecia Niclole 20, Abrina Jetaun 18, and Jonathan Dupree 16.
